Position Overview
This role is a mix of fieldwork and office/GIS work. You’ll assist with site inspections, document conditions, take photos, and help organize and process data in GIS. Training will be provided.
Field work will be performed on-site at local projects in the north Austin area.
GIS and computer-based work can be completed remotely.

Key Responsibilities
Field Work:
- Conduct routine (weekly and monthly) site inspections
- Identify and document environmental compliance issues
- Take clear, organized photos of field conditions
- Record notes and observations accurately
GIS & Office Work (Remote):
- Assist with data entry and updates in ArcGIS Pro & ArcGIS Online
- Organize inspection data and photos
- Prepare inspection reports
- Research and locate project sites
- Create customized datasets and map layouts
- Support mapping projects as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Experience with GIS (ESRI ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Field Maps, or similar)
- Comfortable working outdoors in Texas weather
- Ability to pass a background check
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in environmental science, geography, or related field
- Experience with GPS and field data collection
- Familiarity with construction sites or stormwater systems
- Comfortable using parcel data, surveys, and legal descriptions.
Work Schedule
- Approximately 8 hours per week to start
- Flexible schedule and hours, but consistent weekly availability preferred for field work (eg. site inspection done every Tuesday)
- Some weekday daytime availability required
Compensation
- Starting at $20 to $24 per hour
- Pay based on experience, with opportunities for increases as responsibilities and performance grow
- Mileage reimbursement for field work
